By detective psychology, do you mean forensic psychology? I'm not sure how such a project could be done for an English unit, but if you wanted to talk to a forensic psychologist, you could email someone from UNSW or ANU. Macquarie doesn't have any psychologist in that field (from my knowledge).
Actually, there is one academic psychologist at MQ who studies psychopaths and other delightful individuals - her name is Doris McIlwain. She would be an interesting person to talk to (her lectures are fascinating). I'm assuming as it is an English project you aren't too concerned with the science/methodology aspect but more of the descriptive/profiling aspects?
EDIT: on a completely different topic: when since did rep come back in? (i.e. the green dots under profiles). Have I been inactive from BOS for that long?
