Have any first years been able to enroll in a language above beginners level?

I've tried to enrol in french 3A but it won't let me even though that's the level that the department website says I should enrol in.. Anyone know how to fix this, or have been able to do similar...?

So frustrating :(

Thanks

mmm well in the handbook it says

http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/courses/2007/FREN3101.html

Enrolment Requirements:
Prerequisite: FREN2102 or FREN2004

so u will probably have to talk to the school about it

Thanks, I've been looking at all the info and they actually tell you on the department of French site that it's still an entry point and that I should enrol in that. But you're right it does list pre-requisites anyway.
Time to call the uni I think!

Thanks :)

You have to sit a placement test, and they'll put you in a year that's best suited to your ability. Otherwise, they won't let you enrol. :)
