Hi I'm going into yr 11 next year and need some tips on what I should expect or how I can prepare so that I can do well.
I really want to get A's and B's instead of B's and C's.
I'm studying

*Textiles and design
*Visual arts
*Ancient History
*Math
*Standard English
*Catholic studies
*Geography

What should I do to achieve good grades?:blink2:

What should I do to achieve good grades?
The simplest answer to your question is to put in consistent effort throughout the year in all your subjects throughout the year, ask questions as soon as you don't understand, participate actively in class-and listen to what the teacher is saying, take some self-initiative in studying ahead, establish goals, evaluate your own progress-with passion, dedication and enough motivation, as well as a never-giving up optimistic attitude-you can maximise your chance of achieving good grades. Check out my responses in the following threads which will give you quite substantial help in preparing for senior studies. Remember to not panic, enjoy this holidays and just prepare your psychological mindset for senior year studies:)

For geo, try to keep consistent notes throughout the year as it can be quite content-heavy. You'll have to do a SGP (Senior Geography Project) which is research based and is a lot of work (mine was ~50 pages) - plan ahead if you can. Make sure you know all your mapping skills because those are free marks in any exam.
