Re: Preliminary HSC Assessments-Thoughts/Results v1.0

wow congratulations to everyone... you guys all seemed to do really really well. As for me, my results were all over the place. Greycats, don't worry because I failed my 3 unit Maths paper ( I got 40% ), so you're not the only one who failed in some subjects.
The only ranking I've gotten so far is my English. I'm guessing they'll give my rankings in my school report? :santa:
Overall I'm still happy with my marks... I just need to improve a bit in maths and english

combining all our assesment marks, we got our rankings in our reports..
english advanced - 4th (quite disappointed. hoping to push that up to 3rd like last year)
3unit mathematics - 2nd (i feel really proud. the top four's marks are all around the same range so i've got to keep it up)
biology - 3rd (alright. expected)
economics - 1st (as expected)
d&t - 1st (as expected)
ext1 english - i dunno?

love, mr. ferdipants.
Haha nice ranks man, keep it up.

There's always time to improve on those maths and english ranks. I'm counting on that for my english results :)

Congrats everyone on your results!
I'm as hippy as a frog with English especially. Meh, business reports are like g.g.g.gay. Am I allowed to say that?

The software that teachers use for creating reports (ReportCard) well at my school at least has generic comments that they can put in without making it personal, a real downer but when you have 60+ reports to do you can't blame them.
That's what the teachers at my school use. Alot of my comments are the same across each subject i.e. "Continued revision and completion of homework will ensure basketcase89 good exam marks".

Re: Preliminary HSC Assessments-Thoughts/Results v1.0

Hey I've just started to get my results back. Before my exams I was all ready to knuckle down and study my arse off, but I procrastinate SO much and didn't really get around to it.

So with no more than about 2 hours study pre subject, the night before each exam (with the exeption of Ext Maths because of a bad experience with my teacher) , I got

1st in Physics - I would have been happy just to get 1st out of the girls, but in the whole class woo my nerdy physics guy friends were quite pissed

1st in Economics- like that was hard

2nd in Legal Studies (by 1%) but 1st in my class by like 10 %

1st in class for Advanced Eng by a mile, but like 19th out of 160 -
I was SO pissed about this, we had to do an essay, the first marking I got 15/15, then it was double marked and I got marked down to 13/15! The extra 2 marks would have got me 2nd place. I plan to protest!

And shithouse in Chemistry which i plan to drop

man, that sucks. i'd rather the absolute truth & criticisms.

simply, my economics teacher says that our comments are written accordingly to what's required by the syllabus. meaning, it just states if we're up to the standard.
