prelim content in the hsc (1 Viewer)

so a q about the hsc: I know that for Maths in the HSC exam theres both y11 and y12 content included, but wanted to ask if it is the same for other subs.

umm i think just a bit for chem (but just basic knowledge like stoichiometry, ppt reactions, flame tests) but to my understanding, only maths explicitly tests prelim content in the hsc exam

physics TECHNICALLY it can be tested, but they would have to link it to something you learnt in yr12 content. i.e. they can link like kirchhoffs laws with a transformer to ask you what is the current through this resistor etc

no its just like foundational knowledge but its not tested

no it is, polynomials, combinatorics, binomial theorem, all of these appear at least once in every hsc. They are strictly yr11 topics. (not sure about 2u/standard tho, might just be foundation stuff)

but in my assessment notification it said both year 11 and 12 topics will be covered tho-
