Re: First Preferences?

syd open day has me set on liberal studies now.. ive realised that wanting to do international studies is pointless as history type subjects dont appeal to me. lulz. but going overseas does.. & i can do that anyways!! im so set. its exciting. i hope i dont change my mind again.. i have a creeping want-to-change-mind feeling that im trying to suppress..

BA communications (journalism)/ International studies @ UTS

if i can't get into that then im thinking of BA arts (communication - journalism) at charles sturt.
but i have to say the open day for uts was waaay kool - if i stuff everything up i can always go back and become a postgrad - which is the koolest thing in thy world!!!!!!

pharmaceutical science and pharmacology are more based on medical research, effects of it and content. pharmacology is easier to get in to, well not easy to get in to, but easier, basically anyone could do it....whereas not everyone can do pharmacy.
ahah cheers.

Re: First Preferences?

B commerce / B law --- UNSW, UTS or USYD (Can't decide :S )
B law/ B engineering... the guy at UTS told me I was crazy LOL, he was so funny. {THINKING about it, mechatronics in particular, but I think I'll just stick with B commerce/ B law }
B law/ B Media and Communications UTS/USYD

Trying to minimize the amount of UNSW preferences. Our principal said to put at least one preference at UWS... there's this new bonus scheme that just came out or something. Anyone heard about it? I think it's called the Regional Bonus points... or something scheme ;)

Well for the mean time it seems to be B. Arts/ B. Education @ UNSW, that might all change on saturday. We'll see how we go.
Anyone else wanting to do teaching?

Re: First Preferences?

oh the beauty of mechatronics , who wouldnt want to make robotic devices :D
at UNSW:
B Engineering (Chemical Computer Electrical Mechanical Mechatronic Telecommunications)/M Biomedical Engineering

B Engineering (Bioinformatics Software)/M Biomedical Engineering
at USYD:
B Engineering (Biomedical Engineering)
B Engineering (Mechatronic Engineering) (Space)
I dont fancy going to uts it just doesnt seem like my type of uni despite all the engineering and law sectors they have

Re: First Preferences?

Bachelor of Medical Science at UNSW.

Only saying UNSW over USYD because I know that at UNSW you can specialise in Biotechnology, which is what I'm really interested in.

Might be able to do that at USYD as well, but doesn't say on the site. Should probably email someone or something and find out...

Re: First Preferences?

B Communications at UWS

except I'm not palnning to go to uni next year. If I get in, I'll differ, get a job and if by the end of next year I still want to do it then I'll go.

Uni's just a lot of money, and I don't want to waste money n something I'm not at least 90% sure I wanna do.

Doesn`t UTS offer a Bachelor of Biotechnology also ?
I considered doing that for a while as well , but then I realised Pharmacy was my true goal :)

Re: First Preferences?

1) B Engineering/B Science at UNSW
2) B Psychology at UNSW
3) B Science (Advanced Science) at UNSW
4) B Medical Science at UNSW
5) B Science at UNSW
6) B Engineering (Bioinformatics)/M Biomedical Engineering at UNSW
7) B Engineering (Bioinformatics)/B Science at UNSW
8) B Science (Biotechnology) at UNSW

That's how mine's looking like so far. I'm just worried about the course code for quite a few of my preferences. For example, the course code for B Engineering/B Science at UNSW is 425014, but this code is also used for other bachelors like:

- B Engineering/B Arts
- B Science (Computer Science)/B Arts
- B Science (Computer Science)/B Science
- B Science (Computer Science)/B Engineering

Does that mean there's a chance I might not get an offer for a place in B Engineering/B Science while being offered a position in any of those 4 variants? Cos I don't really wanna do any of the other 4 x.x;

Also, if I get a place in B Engineering/B Science, can I choose biomedical engineering for my B Engineering? Cos looking at the UAC guide, the only times I've seen biomedical engineering come up is in:

- B Engineering (Bioinformatics or Software)/M Biomedical Engineering at UNSW
- B Engineering (Material Science and Engineering)/M Biomedical Engineering at UNSW

I'm not really that interested in other engineering programs, so just wanna make sure >.O;

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies
