Post your timetable,
or hopeful timetable.

here's mine that took me a LONG time to make (had to make sure no subjects clash, so took about 3 attempts).

so that was my 'ideal' before tutes opened

i got all my units except for accounting where i slept in ><

so here it was.

and now my final one.

there i say it works out better for me?

I also only have to do 'Buisness Academic skills' for 4 weeks of the semester, which is pretty cool

as in 10-16, 18-23?

its the weeks in the semester.
week 10 is usually week 1

so its week 1-6, 2 week break for stuvac, then week 8-13

An easier way of thinking about it is that the weeks used by UWS are in accordance with the year. For example, week 10 (March 1) is the 10th week of the year. :)

mostly just making possible outcomes of our timetables (hopefully we actually get the time and day we want).

No these are the timetables people want, the class times they are going to go for first when tutorial rego opens.

wowsers? i dont get it? so we are suppose to make timetables and select desirable time slots for each of our units? then submit them to tutorial registration? for them to confirm it?

I'm dreading the day when we have to register for our tutorials. Basically, you're fighting for your class times against tons of other students. If your preferred tutorials are full, tough luck! You will be stuck with your crappy times if you're not refreshing the damn page fast enough!

I hate tutorial registration. :)

hey guys now im really confused sorry to hijack the thread, but

how do we find the available times for our courses? is it this thing?
http://platformweb.uws.edu.au/pweb_...=2010&qsubname=&qsubcode=200083&frompg=search

also when im looking through the peoples timetable it has more then 4 units in one semester?????

arent we only suppose to do 4 units in one semester??

also what is the difference between tutorial and lectures? is it recommended we do both?

well u log on 2 Platformweb.uws.edu.au

then go to Tutorial Registration

then click on the unit numbers and u will get the times for the lectures n tuts. with a Check Box on the right hand side...when the tutorial registration opens, u have to select the times u want and then submitt/confirm
.

it is recommended that u make up a preferred time table before the tutorial reg. opens. this way when the thing opens u can select your preferred times without any difficulties.
how ever if u dont prepare a preferred time table before hand, u will have a lot of clashes and also some un-wanted time slots

Like in my 1st sem. i dint have a time table b4 hand, so i had 2 go 2 uni for all 5 days and on 2 of those days i only had 1 tut. so it was like go to uni for 1 hour(travelling time for me is more then 1 hour lol).

so ye just go to platformweb>>tutorial reg>> and look arround and set a preferred time table.

abt the dfference between lecture and tutorial
Lecture is a place where u have 1 lecturer talking to 100's of students(depends of the subjects..some units have like 300 students and some only have 10 students in a lecture)

Tutorial is aplace where u will have a group of 20-25 students, working on the subjects

normally lectures are 2-3 hrs and tutorials are 1 hour. Lecture is a place where u get all the information and tut. is like a place where u actully use that info. to solve the questions.

yes it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that u attend both lectures and tut.

Also units would have attendence in tutorials or lecutres...if u dont meet the required attendence thing, then they can and mite actually FAIL u...

so go to all d lectures and tut.'s

depends really. but normally its better to select times that suit your time table

also some times it better to have all the classes of 1 unit in the same day, so that u dont have 2 carry the same books again n again...
