I've just noticed a funny fact by now...
pLuvia (6 posts above me) Went to same school with me and did HSC in same year!!! This is an unexpected coincidence.. And we actually ended up in same course at same university!!!
I could still remember you going to my Software Design class playing leming ball during your free period...And (You were told off by my teacher) .The Dux in your year(Michael) is the only person beat me in that class, he also beat me in UAI by 0.5 points which is pretty smart as he is doing considerable amount of extra-curriculum activities. And it turned out that I'm Dux of the school the year after(not so much of extra-curriculum activities though). 2006 was a busy year for me as I remember I need to do a HSC subject and coping with low 50's in English Advanced (I gained same mark as you in English advanced in 2007 though)!!!

you got a band 5 because of the difference between your exam and assessment marks. they take the average of those two marks to give you your hsc result.

Ouch...I looked through the results for my school in the Distinguished Achievers List, and the entire school only got two band sixes, both in EE2 :( Last year we got about 15...

I'd like to express my sympathy for all those who have failed or have gotten really low UAIs despite putting your hearts into it.

BOS and UAC have robbed you of a joyful Christmas. In the near future, keep in mind that the HSC is not about getting over 99% in everything. It's more like the beginning than the end. I wish you all the very best in whatever steps you take.
