now that our pips have been handed in my soc teacher has decided to torture us further with a pop culture speach. ahhh!! anyway to help those that may not have any ideas a pop culture to choose you should put some ideas here....

There were some great info on Barbie in one of the monthly Society and Culture magazine

Your teacher should be subcribed to those sort of things because we used a lot of things from there, such as Continuity and Change in Vietnam.

i did my speech on the Idol phenomenon - like Aussie Idol and Pop Idol.

in class we're doing McDonalds! so we went on an 'excursion' to the local Maccas to 'observe'. lol we had Maccas for breakfast!!!

we are doing MTV. hehehe... other people in my class are doing chocolate, the simpsons, disney n maybe even lesbian feminism or something equally bizarre (i think that's actually a belief system... woops)

we doing surfing in class..which i thinks a shity pop culture. but coz we live on the coast, and have regular access to the beach etc. our teacher thinks we should already have a generalised knowledge bout it... i thinks the wiggles or barbie would be much more exciting.
