please help!!!! about HS reference letter (1 Viewer)

i'm in overseas and i suddenly think of my reference letter and i think i forgot where i put it in my house in Aus!!! just want to ask when do we need to use our reference letter?? would it be a BIG problem if we don't have one??like do we need to use it in order to get into uni or a course?? (in case i lost it) atar is going to release and i forgot where i located my reference i think i'm panicking right now...........

I don't think they're too important anyway, my reference letter wasn't even correct lmao full said I was in the softball team and all that when I was actually a couch potato all year (but my school is prob just dodgy af)

Mine forgot one to mention one of the years I played a sport, put random dodgy things which people didn't do on their references.
(Schools are dodgy with references)

what!! my school wrote exactly what i did at school!! no extra dodgy things!! T.T

In general, a school reference letter may assist you to get a part time job after you graduated from high school and you have no job experience. i.e. it gives some sort of good character reference, however, if you were intending to say, venture into private tutoring, then a school reference letter is not necessary, (I never had to use my school reference letter yet). So stop panicking, your school reference letter does not correlate in any way to your ATAR or final marks.

Side Remark: strangely enough, in my school reference letter, they also put some dodgy stuff as well, looks like it is not only my school....

It's good for your records and you can show then to your future employees etc it looks good on you only of you did stuff which is great
