People with a lip piercing - how long does it take to get normal.. like not swelled up anymore?

If I get it right after HSC would it look good by the formal which is 20 days after? I dont want a swelled up lip in the photos.

mine didnt get swollen at all. after about 2 weeks i could move it freely and it didnt hurt anymore.

id say it takes about 2 days to stop being annoying and not hurt
