Ive always wanted one, but am far too scared about the pain

A friend got one on her lower back a few weeks ago, and said she spent the whole time in tears. Her advice to me after this was;

"try and choose a spot that wont be going over a bone" (according to her, that hurt the most)

"choose somewhere that you know your skin wont strech" (cause, if you fall pregnant, get fatter etc. etc. the tatoo will stretch

My friend is in love with hers now, and it looks awesome (she got a turquoise and purple butterfly).

I have one on my arm... yes it hurt, not that bad though. It's definitely not unbearable pain anyway.
The pain is the thrill in getting tattoos. I say go for it!

If you cried over a meningacocal needle then you definately shouldn't be getting one.
