I'm in software engineering, and it's not related unless you intend to do any electrical units.

Imagine you are developing an app, that there are a crew of ice-skating athletes, how would you know how much distance they move at what particular speed, and what kind of effect they will have for example if two athletes ram into each other without physics? I'd say physics is useful if you are prepared to join any motion related fields, like developing xbox games or things like aircraft simulation etc, but if you don't like it HSC physics should be enough.
