JUNKY! by William S. Burroughs
is amazing

and On the road by JK

its great because alot of that beat poet era shizz is impossiable to get unless you buy it online from overseas, and its hella cheap

Also Kingdome of Fear by Hunter S Thompson is a great read (I bought a hard cover when it forst came out) and its one of the penguin classics

Yes! The orange and white Popular Penguins are presently my cigarettes and chocolate milk; so gorgeously understated!

So far, my sagging bookselves are boasting these Penguins:
- The Picture of Dorian Gray
- Love in the Time of Cholera
- Everything is Illuminated
- The Great Gatsby
- Pride and Prejudice (haven't read this as yet; my friend is in shock :pain:)
- Persuasion
- Frankenstein
- North and South
- Northanger Abbey

And I've bought these yesterday and devoured them all from page one to last:
- Breakfast at Tiffany's by the fabulous Capote again
- Junky by Burroughs (how addictive is this!) :headbang:

Think I'll go and get these relatively anorexic books (I've never much fancied thicker books) within the next two weeks:
- Summer Crossing by Capote (hopefully today!)
- The History of Sexuality by Foucault
- One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Solzhenitsyn
- A Clockwork Orange by Burgess (it's time to brave that lingo)

Verdict: Breakfast at Tiffany's tops my list.

god fucking damn

whoever made the decision to change the colour scheme from black to orange (and red in some cases) needs to be shot in the face.

i've got a few of them, but i'd have to say that a clockwork orange is the best.
