Hello

Will I get deducted for writing in pencil?

Im kinda worried, because for some of the calculation questions i wrote in pencil, in case i made a mistake and could easily rub it out. Will the markers still mark this?

But the BOS says write in "black/blue pen", does this mean they wont mark my pencil writing?

theoretically they wont mark it - but i'd hope the markers wouldnt be THAT mean

They tell you that so the pencil won't smudge and it's easier to read/ someone can't rub it out and change it after the exam.

There's nothing you can do now, but i think they should mark it.

becuase i wanted to write in pencil so i could rub out calculation mistakes.

I can't speak for subjects other than Modern History but I can say this - Modern markers mark everything that we can read regardless of colour used or other instrument e.g. we mark pencil, we mark red, green, blue, black, orange, purple etc.

If we can read it we mark it.

I am fairly sure that this applies to all subjects.

The reason for the blue/black rule is that it is the easiest to read for the markers, particularly in the animal sheds as the showground after dinner when it is dark outside and the light isn't all that great.
