Hey guys was wondering if 2 weeks of past papers is sufficient enough before HSC? Because I have been memorising my content and am going to finish with that by week 3 but I am also doing math past papers in between and also in week 3 I have to go to school for mock exams (though this is really dumb because we are already stressed as it is and how are we going to go to a mock exam when we don’t even know all of our content yet - like that’s another concern of mine. It’s just unnecessary stress)

May be tough, as past papers is something you don't want to be cramming, but rather, progressively working on throughout a period of time. Given your current situation, it may be necessary though. It's definitely important first to make sure you know the content for your subjects before trying past papers.

if you have all your notes written might i suggest doing past papers open-book so at least you improve with exam technique and progressively apply the content in addition to just learning the content

at the end of the day its the application that counts

also i would argue against your school forcing you to do mock exams so late even if they are unweighted

i highly doubt u would receive any meaningful feedback and it places unnecessary burden and stress on students so close to your hsc exams

i highly recommend u instead ask ur school for the paper or just stay at home and don't do the exam at all it really isn't worth the stress and it may even deter u from studying for the hsc since u might assume the mindset of: "I've already studied for these exams. I don't need to study anymore."

just my 2 cents

Thank you that's exactly how everyone feels about it. It really is unnecessary stress and burden being placed on us. Like they are doing it for the purpose of seeing how we do under time and in the hall so we can get a feel of it for the actual HSC, but the thing is we have already done mock trials before the actual trials so its quite dumb. I think I might stay home because I have a timetable to go by and mock exams will just tire me out like you said.
Thank you for understanding!
