Hi,

For my practical reports, should I write them in past of present tense. For example:
Past tense: Placed the first photo gate at the start of the ramp.
Present tense: Place the first photo gate at the start of the ramp.

For the method: present tense. e.g. place the first photo gate etc.
But for a discussion: past tense. e.g. The first photo gate was placed at the start of the ramp (avoiding use of first person)
