This equation represents a common redox reaction.
Cr2O72–(aq) + 14H+(aq) + 6Fe2+(aq) → 2Cr3+(aq) + 6Fe3+(aq) + 7H2O(l)
What is the oxidising agent in the reaction?
How would I figure this out? I know that an oxidising agent is one that reduces but how do I write out the ionic equations to find out?
