It would appear that my mum is stressing more about the HSC than I am.

"DO YOU KNOW YOUR STUDENT NUMBER?"
Me: "Um, yes, I've had to memorise it ever since Yr 10"
'WHO CARES! YOU COULD FORGET IT! WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE!"
Me: "Um, it's like, stuck onto my desk, with my name on it"
"WHO CARES! YOU NEED IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Me: "It's like, stuck onto the door of the hall as well..."
"DOESN'T MATTER! YOU NEED ANOTHER COPY!"

-Later-

(after mum completely flips out about possibility of me forgetting how many exams I have)
Me: Mum, can you please calm down. Your stressing about my exams is stressing me out!
I AM NOT STRESSED OUT! I AM JUST TRYING TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T FORGET ABOUT AN EXAM!
Me: Well then at least could you say it in a calm tone - because when you sound stressed, you stress me out.
IT'S NOT ABOUT STRESS! WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FORGET? HUH? HUH?

I then walk off. Just another useless attempt to get through. Mission Failure.

My parents are giving me the "we don't know anything thats happening face". They were stressing out like 1/2 years ago and then they just stopped. Now they are as cool as hell except for the other day when my dad said "if you don't get above 96 i'll chop ya"

Something that will make her shut up and probably make her jaw drop is if you tell her to FUCK OFF.

Try that.

Hope this helps.

I had the same situation when I was putting in my preferences.

Mum: PUT IN YOUR PREFERENCES, SEPTEMBER 30 IS IN TWO WEEKS!
Me: Fuck You Mum.

(OK, I didn't say fuck you to my mother. I did as I was told.)

then i go and yell at everyone for 15 about them not knowing what HSC is like.. yatta yatta yatta :p

My parents aren't around :(
You don't realise how much you depend on them (even though they may be annoying sometimes) until they're not there to annoy you
Be thankful :)
I have asian parents but my mum's a lil weird.. she's like, don't study too hard, do your best (which is always an expectation of 99) and she comes in to my room to distract me
hehe maybe that's why i miss her :p

Now that is why I never tell my parents anything about school/exam/HSC procedures or anything to do with it actually... Lol in year 10 I only told my mum that the school certificate was on Monday, that was the Friday before hand. She wasnt too happy about it.

This time I only mentioned dates because mum wanted to take the same days off work to pick me up and drop me off for my exams... which is prett sweet since I don't have my P's yet.

Mine do.

Me: "im just going to beach for about 2 hours"
My Dad: "ok but i think you know what you should be doing"
Me: "of course i know what i should be doing, I should be getting pissed."
My Mum: "dont use that language"
Me: ok fine i wont go
My dad: No go
(stare at me with a death stare as i walk out)
