Both of my parents are high school teachers, and it never really worried me until i actually got into high school.

They got involved in the politics at the school, if i got a dollar every time i heard the phrase, 'Excuse me I think I do know the curriculum', i would be self funding a position at a boarding school in Sydney.

Even worse I know that my mother currently has an account on this very website, this thought makes me uneasy as she laughs at people's relplies on their thoughts on Blade Runner

Does anyone else sympathize with me or should I be proud of my overbearing Teacher Parents?

I sympathise with you. But on the other hand, I have a friend and her parents are both heavily involved in high school life - her father is a teacher and her mother is a school co-ordinater. She just takes it in her stride.

the only worse predicament i can think of with me is having my parents teaching at my school, the people at my school with parents are heavily ostracized

another think i forgot to mention was the pressure to excel in their chosen field, and my father was quite upset when I did not go for any subjects he knows. although i feel bad about it, I feel I need to leave their shadow theyve cast on me as being a 'teacher's daughter'

Even worse, there is a girl at my school who's dad is the principle. needless to say, she gets about 80+ for everthing. She doesn't even think she's a preffered student, which only pisses my off more.

But the fact that your (mum i think it was) has an account on bored is kinda creepy, i'd find a new website...
