Hey everyone, I only have 3 subjects for my hsc this year due to my school breaking the hsc up into 3+3 (3 subjects this year) (3 subjects next year)

My subjects this year are chemistry, business studies, 2U maths

My rankings for these are :
chemistry 1/15
business 1/22
maths 7/16

I've been studying more maths and business studies for the hsc and not much chemistry as I have 2 weeks after my maths exam to study for it, Is this right? or should I be studying chemistry as well daily.

Still maybe squeeze in a little bit of chemistry here and there so your chemistry brain is still there :p
And are you in year 12 or 11?

hey buddy,
if i were you i would be gonig hardcore for both business and maths especially maths so that you can kill them. after those two exams you've got 2 weeks to study which is more then enough time to kill chem especially if you've done consistent study throughout the year.

ive got English paper 1 then paper 2 then business then maths 2u then maths 3u and business. then 12 days later ive got sor 2unit. i haven't touched anything for sor cause i have enough time after the rest of my exams.

Oh okay :) The breaking up into 3 + 3 is very interesting. (Haven't heard of any schools doing this before!)

Yeah, it's really weird haha, apparently about 20 schools have done this already and it proves to be much better results. I just hope so, I'm worried

Yes you can, a graduated student from my school who sat HSC last year did 3U and 4U for his HSC in year 10, then he did 4 subjects for his hsc year and got dux in my school who got ATAR 98.9. So it does show it works you just need motivation and dedication to do it.

How does it work? Do you guys jump straight into HSC content in year 11 and skip the Preliminary content? What about for maths, surely the 2 years worth of content isn't done in 1 year is it?

since you only do 3 rather than 6, i think you get double the time in a week and eventually two years are covered in one!

Yeah we have 2 hours of each subject daily so we get double the time so like u said we cover 2 years work in 1 year but its really difficult for maths

Personally, you seem pretty solid in chem so I would really be focussing on destroying maths (not sure where business is in the timetable). But chem is like the last exam so you've got heaps of time for that.

I'm pretty sure you need to do prelim content too, maybe they did it in year 10 and squished yr 9/10 into one year lol? dunno
