I applied for the music camp in Arts Admin and Composition - it cost me $80 or thereabouts just to send my application (not including the cost of printing and binding a score which I haven't gotten back). If the audition fees weren't so exorbitant, it might be okay - but that's a lot of money to put down just for the Chance to get in.

crikey!! that early! i will audition also and not get in :( and don't forget Sydney Sinfonia!! for 2006 and get paid for concerts too!!

conclusion: Sydney Sinfonia is the best Youth Orchestra in Australia!!

it really depends on intrument, like there are two orchestra so thats like 8 trumpets, 6 trombones, 2 tubas, 10 or so horns, 4 oboes, 4 clainets, 4 flutes, 4 bassoons, and way to many strings :D but this applys in all orchestra damn competivness :(

I'm just saying that going to the Sydney Conservatorium is not a guarantee of anything.
