Help would be appreciated....

p.s. he contributed heavily in terms of social reforms.... If my memory serves me well he made tertiary eduacation free.... but if someone could add more it would be MUCH appreciated as i am struggling in this '08 pp....

He brang back soldiers from the Vietnam War.

He introduced the concept of multiculturalism.

He started Medibank.

He abolished university fees.


And these were from the top of my head. Surely it isn't that hard to think of ONE contribution?

No... I mean Medibank.

He also changed Australia's foreign policy to be less aimed at US and Britain.

He recognised communist china and promoted free trade

He also returned land back to Indigenous Australians on wave hill (iconic moment when he poured the dirt into an indigenous person's hand)

He did many great things for this country. The only really bad thing I can remember from year 10 was him fucking up the economy- though that was a pretty bad thing, lol

Gave us Multiculturalism (by default), Self determination,began recognition of abouriginal land rights e.g sand in Vincent Linguains hand, returning the land. Though he did give us some of the juiciest political scandals and showed us the governor general isn't just there for ceremonial purposes. One last thing, he acted as an Australian ambassador to UNESCO.

Education
- Increased funding for education
- Abolished university fees
- Set up the Australian Schools Commission

Health
- Set up a universal health scheme called Medibank

Women
- Equal pay for women

Aboriginals
- Recognition in Land rights

Foreign Policies + etc
- removed conscription
- withdrawal of our commitment to the Vietnam war
- policies which recognised Communist China and East Germany.


ETC ETC ETC. off to study =)
