I'm probably considering doing biotechnolgoy as a major in bachelor of science but I heard that when I graduate with only bachelor of science, employers will only simply see it as that rather than biotechnology which makes it hard for me to be employable. Is this the case?

NO, you only get a certificate saying you completed a Bachelor of Science. Your academic transcript will state your majors and minors and your marks etc. Though this my be different from uni to uni, I suggest contacting your uni to clarify.
