My friend got called today to book an interview for March 17.

Tip: if you really want the job, in the interview say you're available 24/7 even though you're not.

My interview on Saturday aswell. Does any know how it will be like? Like is it a group interview or individual, and what questions will they ask?

Individual and really quick. Prob 10mins. You fill out a form, they ask you if you can use a register and your availability.

Yay. I got it too. He he... I thought I stuffed up, cause the lady was asking a lot of questions about me current job, and i was so unprepared. Mine is on Sunday next week.

esp when they asked reasons why i left my past jobs and i said one was for HSC and the other for uni
but yeah everything else was good

but im stoaked i got it

Yesterday was terrible
9am-1030pm
only 2 half an hour breaks
lunch break at like 430pm
dinner like 830
11pm bus home
home 1145

2moro and easter sunday 8am starts :'(

ouch! sounds tough, out of interest how much do you get paid?

And is like all one company hiring all the showbag people there or a couple of different companies?

20yo gets about $19/hr under the New Concept/Hunter Leisure company.
Different showbag companies hire their own people.

I'm 20 and got around 19 or 20 an hour... the conditions werent that bad, but some people couldnt really handle the long shifts (often 12+ hours) where you have to be standing the whole time except in the two half hour breaks. I think it was a great way to earn some quick money but its obviously not for everyone.

I worked there this year. Hunter leisure, outside stand. It SUCKS that 17yr old only get $12.60 an hour when they do the same amount of work as the others ( no offence to you older ppl but hey its true!) . Also they screwed up my payslip, short by 8 huors of work that i DID DO! =\

Still i'd work there again next year cos it is a whole chunk of money and i'm on the higher rate next year ^^

East Show Job??

I am wondering rite, are we able to geta easter show job as one of those selling the bags or something?? Where would we apply and what "skills" do you need. ANd also if possible how much do we get paid?
