I go to a top 3 school and the majority of my grade is aiming for a 850-900 word count, so we'll have plenty of time to adapt to the question and add more if need be under exam conditions. Quality, not quantity guys!

It does not matter if you go to a top 3 school (actually Baulko was 4th in 2006 in the Daily Telegraph). Even if we found out the average word count of james ruse english essays it is not a large enough sample to suggest the 'optimum' word count.

Also most people at baulko do 1000-1100 words in 40 mins.
