Nero Write Speed problem (1 Viewer)

i have nero 6. when i burn something it doesnt let me choose the write speed, its locked onto maximum and i cant scroll the speeds. whys it doing that?

did you stick in the disc before opening or do you open the screen and then insert it? I believe, though i'm not quite positive that something like that happens if its the latter occurs.
