Necessary to attend tutorials in the first week? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone! Because university starts next week, is it necessary to attend tutorials in our very first week of university?

as far as i know, there are no tutorials for week1

just check your timetable, it may display something like week 2-13 for tutorials

I have tutorials on friday, but I don't think they're on mon-wed, not sure about Thursday.

Note that in case your tutorials are running in week 1 (unlikely, but check your timetable), that tutorials generally require 80% attendance over the course of the semester, so its fine to miss one or two, but be careful about missing more than 2 as you might fall below the 80% line and this can lead to an absent fail if you don't have supporting documentation such as a doctors certificate or something similar for missing them. If you do fall into this situation, talk to your tutor as soon as possible so you can work out a solution (some tutors/lectures are pretty lax about attendance, but some are very stringent).
