I assume that is a joke, because:

1. Marrying an animal in now way means that the human is physically attracted to it.

2. Even if she was, probably 99.9999% of humans would not be attracted to animals.

My suggestion is that the reason some humans are attracted to animals has nothing at all to do with physical attraction is more perhaps about degredation in most circumstances. But the truth is that this is such a sickening practice I really don't want to get into it too much.

Whatever the reason I don't really see an 'epidemic of bestiality' eventuating anytime soon!

As I suggested before I don't think, if the animal consents, and it's hygenic and all, that there is anything strictly morally wrong with it. I think you'd have to be really insane or something to want to, but I don't think it'd be "wrong" in the true sense of the word.

Well isn't it possible for animal diseases to be transplanted to humans from animals.... wasn't this the suggestion by some of how aids came into existance?

A similar logic could be used to forbid unprotected sex where the partners haven't been tested.

Well it is slightly different in that what we're worried about is diseases mutating and new diseases being introduced..

Anyway, despite beastiality being outlawed in Australia i'm sure those who wish to practice it are not deterred.

1. I just said to you that desiring a woman does not mean people are going to rape her.

2. What is wrong with sex, or lust for that matter?
1. Ofcourse it doesn't, but it increases the chance. Anyway, rape is an extreme....desiring a woman may not lead to rape but it could lead to other things like harassing her, touching her indecently etc etc
Firstly, it might decrease the chance by 0.0000001%, but that is not a sufficient reason. That's like saying that I should never use a shower in case I slip and fall.

Secondly, while that rule might have been relevant in the dangerous times of the middle-east in 600AD, in our modern society it is of no use and is more an antiquated practicality than something divinely important.

Thirdly, you must have very poor expectations of men. Men rarely just harass and touch a woman just because she is not covered up. Even when they do, we have laws to prevent that sort of thing.

There is nothing wrong with sex or lust for a person whom you are not married to. If you believe otherwise, please state your reasons.

Find me evidence that it happens to women who are not covered up more than women who are.

Rape has very little to do with physical attraction, add onto that that there are probably many rapists who are also redneck bigots and might want to "pay the arabs back for what they do to our women", then a black robe could well incite a rapist. Either way, it does make you stand out from the crowd, just as driving a ferrari is gonna make the cops watch you more closely.

"That is true, but this is not a bad thing. It is because society advances. You could apply your argument to the 1800's in America; people would never have abolished slavery".

Why did people back then adopt the practice of slavery? It is simply because they didn't follow the religious teachings of their respective religions (every religion promotes peace amongst people). So therefore even though the major religions were established thousands of years earlier, people in America thought that it the practice of slave trade was moral. Think about it, and compare this to your argument concerning relative morality.

"Whatever the reason I don't really see an 'epidemic of bestiality' eventuating anytime soon!"

No one saw a epidemic of homosexuality 100 years ago but it is happening now. you say that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality, in spite the fact the the statistics for the amount of diseases associated with the practice speak for themselves. Lets not forget that homosexuality actually is against the human species reproducing, rather it moves it towards extinction.

You also say that incest is wrong as it creates abnormal babies etc. Well can't people use contraception? This goes against your argument supporting fornication. You assume that people won't use contraception when they practice incest, yet you assume that everyone uses contraception when practicing fornication.

"I think you'd have to be really insane or something to want to, but I don't think it'd be "wrong" in the true sense of the word".

Why would you think it would be insane for someone to practice beastality, yet there is nothing wrong with it? It sounds abit paradoxial to me. In the back of your mind you know that it goes against the nobility of humans yet because there doesn't APPEAR to be anything physically wrong with beastality, you arn't against the practice.

But rape is not caused by sexual lust, it is caused by a lust for power, hence how a woman looks is really not that important to a rapist.
