Re: MQ General chatter and timetables thread

Wait, where are the staff toilets anyway?

If I ever need to do a uni dump, the toilets near the Womens Room are fairly clean.

Okay Conception Day. Details are http://www.uatmq.com/getinvolved/conceptionday , as said, but people always end up asking for some unknown reason.

Philadelphia Grand Jury
The Havknotz
Acktor

Atrium Courtyard:

Tickets:

Cost:
MQ (+ SIBT, ICMS, etc) Staff and Students: $10
Guests of Student: $65.

((This actually includes a $10 booking fee; ie student tickets are 'free' with a fee. So don't think they are free, even though the uni advertises them as such...))

Who?
MQ Students, maximum of two 'guests' per student, alumni, staff.

Where?
Tickets available from:
U@MQ Spot (C10A): 9am - 4pm weekdays
U@MQ Admin Office Reception Desk (C10A): 9am - 4pm weekdays
Macquarie University Sport & Aquatic Centre: 8am - 8pm weekdays
UBar: 4pm - Close of Business - weekdays

Tickets on sale from TOMORROW, so buy them as soon as you can. I doubt they'll 'sell out' as fast as last year, though, given that it's now not free.

Hahaha, does anyone remember the year when there was a rumour Kanye West was going to perform at Conception Day? It might've been last year.

That was fucking hilarious.

No? Then again, I probably wouldn't care.

Re: Semester 2 Timetable

If you ever need to finish things off, doing 5 subjects isn't all that difficult in the media strands anyway, plus the fact they opened most of the production units up to each other means there is quite a lot of choice as you're free to dabble, so I don't think its entirely a bad thing to extend it a bit :)

Also props to commuting from the Blue Mountains! What're you planning to major in Media?
Sorry for the incredibly late reply! I want to major in Screen Production. Still haven't visited the new Media Department yet but can't wait to do so!

This sounds uber stupid but can I fill all my future electives with Media units? Like, major in Screen Production but also do the (eg) Writing Media units?

Re: MQ General chatter and timetables thread (+ Conception Day!)

When are they releasing draft timetables? I thought it was always at the beginning of week 6. Normally I don't care but I want to go on holidays in the last week of November and am hoping my exams are scheduled before then.
