i don't get motion...especially the resistant motion under gravity

does anyone have notes or general advice on this topic?

i struggled with resisted motion when we did it last term. Best thing to do is just keep at it, keep retrying the problems, read through the examples in your textbook to see how to do them. Its really not that hard, once you set up your initial force equation correctly (eg, R = ma = mg - mkv^2 for downwards motion in a resisting medium), then pick an appropriate form of acceleration then integrate.

oh and if u are using fitzpatrick, note that the first few questions are ridiculously hard and will destroy your confidence in doing these problems, start around Q 4 or 5 (i learn't this the hard way lol)
