"Particle A and Particle B are travelling along a straight line at constant speeds and respectively. Particle A is behind Particle B, but is travelling faster. When Particle A is exactly metres behind Particle B, Particle A begins decelerating at ms^-2.

1. Using calculus, find the speed of Particle A after it has travelled a distance of metres under braking.
2. Given that , prove that the particles will collide.

I'm struggling with Part 2 of this question. I've came up with an answer for Part 1, but I'm not sure if it's right.

I'm not sure what it means by "decelerating at ". Also what decelerates B or A?
