Let's not get into a whole genre debate here, but Alcest have confirmed an Australian tour. The rest of the information will be revealed on the 27th. Thoughts?

I'd never heard of them before, but I'm listening to their track Écailles De Lune at the moment and really enjoying it.

This band deserve to be more known than they are. Excellent USPM featuring Master Chief!

Agent Steel are excellent, and that track there pretty much shows that. That and what the vocalist can do. How can one not like saying "Agents of SteeeeeAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!"?

Also, I saw Forbidden with Hobbs' Angel of Death last night and it was excellent! I never thought I'd see Hobbs' Angel of Death live since I thought they broke up ages ago, but even with frontman Peter Hobbs ageing and grey he still put on a brilliant show. Afterwards, Forbidden played their set, the first show they've ever played in Sydney even a nice 23 years after the release of their first, and they played just like it were the Bay area back in the 80s. The crowd was going crazy with plenty of stage diving, moshing and circle pits while the members played without showing signs of slowing down. After the show, some of the members hung back and just talked to people in the audience, also signing stuff and posing for photos. They were some really nice guys who put on a hell of a performance and I hope they can play again in the near future.

I haven't seen a lot of talk about the Evil Invaders mini-fest going on, so I'll bring everyone up to date with it:

After the spectacular 2 nights that was Evil Invaders III earlier this year in June, the preparations for Evil Invaders IV in Sydney have already commenced. To be specific, only days after Evil Invaders 3 finished. If I remember correctly, the organiser of the festival, the man behind the label and distro Coffins Slave, already ensembled a full line-up which would be drip-fed to us slowly leading up to the date. Because of the large about of bands on next year's bill, the show has been changed from a 2-day mini-fest to a 3 day fest, taking place on the long weekend of the 8th of June to the 10th. Not only that, there are going to be a few international bands playing the show. There's still a lot of the line-up to go, but this is who's on the bill so far:

Inquisition
Assaulter
Grenade
Chaotic Impurity
Rituals of the Oak
Mongrels Cross
Destruktor
Maniaxe
Cemetery Urn
Denouncement Pyre

This is taking place at the Bald Faced Stag/The Wall in Leichhardt, Sydney from June 8-10. It's some time away but I'm excited for this! To fans of intense black, blackened thrash and thrash metal, what do you think of this?

I missed the Evil Invaders 3 due to exams and was abit lazy to book accommodation in Sydney. Looks like I'd be missing this one as well which is such a shame cause this such a killer lineup. Heaps better than thie last one. The only thing that could make it better is if GotH and D666 got put on the line-up as well.

And I know it's a long shot... but, INQUISITION!

You got 6 out of 8 with yours :0
So cross out Mongrels Cross and Inquisition. I'm betting Demons Gate, Vomitor and hopfully GotH.

New Archgoat coming out. Psyched as hell. If the Artwork is of any indication of quality, might make AOTY.

Not a massive fan but I've listened to a bit of Tara and would hate to miss out. Though that Portal announcement is quite amazing considering that Portal barely leaves Brisbane. Don't know Ruins
