anyone doing it? anyone done it? are you with another person or do you have to run a group on your own? what's it like?

for someone asking in another thread froms can be handed in until just after exams.

its going to be different next year, so you cant really base it on previous years.
Apparently you have to go through interviews? im not sure how true this is, but thats what i heard.

Initially when i was mentoring it was meant to be 2 mentors to a group, but because soo many people applied they changed it to one mentor a group.

Whats it like? Its pretty fun. I did it with a whole group of friends, so we all banded together and it ended up being like 5 mentors to 7 students ... you meet new students, and you also get to know other mentors on training day. You get free food and dont have to wait in line so the poor newbies are left with onion sandwichs haha

Hmm i had the chance to become a mentor leader ... but it clashed with my job

Ask GoodToGo, he was my mentor leader, so he prolly knows heaps

i don't like the sound of interviews. :S my friends generally don't like doing this type of stuff, so i figure i'll have to take a step out of my comfort zone and do it myself if i want to, i can't be stopped from doing things because of them. do most people do it with a group of friends?

sounds like mad thing to do....
but im always occupied wiv sumfin else....so if ur free and have the chance, then I'd recommend it.

yeah, i'm doing it. I haven't heard about the interview thing yet :/ Hopefully its not too scary.

I handed in the form and went to the meeting ages ago. Apparently, they email us back in December some time. I don't know anyone doing it, my friends generally don't want to do stuff like that either, so i'm hoping to meet new people.

We get a groovy certificate for our resume, which should be kewl...its all about the resume peoples..
