This is really weird, coz me and my friends haven't gotten the email yet, but i know that tons of other people have.

And since some people have already gotten interview offers, and i haven't even gotten the email-thingo yet, i'm getting kinda worried. gah

offers have come out, i can assure you that two people from our school (sydney boys high) have been contacted by telephone regarding a preliminary interview

i never really searched into med courses , so i dont have a clue what those are anyway

The email that I received was just a general email that doesn't concern interview offers, nothing to worry about.

"Dear Applicant

PREFERENCES FOR THE FOUR CATEGORIES OF PLACES
The four categories of places available in the UNSW Medicine course to
local students are:
1. Unbonded
2. Bonded to area of workforce shortage (not available to New Zealand
citizens)
3. Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship (not available to New Zealand
citizens)
4. Domestic full-fee place

For further information and a link to the online preference form see:

http://www.med.unsw.edu.au/medweb.nsf/page/categories

Please note that if you wish to apply for a domestic full fee place, you
are also required to add this code to your UAC preferences (UAC code
448000).

The closing date for preferences is 5.00pm on December 7, 2007. Any change
to preferences can be made until that date by entering the new preferences
on the preference form. The last form submitted will be the preferences
used in the process of offering places.

We anticipate that we will receive UMAT results shortly and that offers for
September 24th to 28th will be out early next week.

Yeah, Ive heard a couple of people on medstudentsonline got UNSW interview offers today.

I still havent heard from them though. They send you an email even if you get rejected anyway.
