Med Sci
Yep I do Medical Science at UC. Dont think about doing Med Sci at ANU, its not accredited and it will not get you ready for a job, its mostly meant for people who want to get into post-grad medicine at ANU.
Uni of Canberra is a truly awesome university, I always hear about the unfriendly and cold environment of ANU, while UC is very friendly and all the lecturers always make themselves available to help you. The uni environment at UC is very easy-going and its very easy to make friends.
The course itself is great, however while the first semester is decievingly easy, the second semester, which i have just finished, is extremely hard. Anatomy and Chemistry are very demanding, and a more then a few people fail, or quit. The numbers of people doing med sci is fairly small. There are only about 15 people doing first year Med Sci with me.
The good news about the small number is small class sizes for some classes, and good possibility to easily get into the Honours year. So, you are definitely interested in analytical/pathologial sciences, this is the course for you. It will get you prepared for the workforce as it has a great practical side to it, and employers in the canberra region really respect the UC Med Sci course.
