Hey guys :)
I was just wondering, for anyone that applies to courses before hand ie: med/dentistry and the university asks for a copy of report ( prelim and latest year 12) do they ever ask you to bring in the original?

Like obviously they'll know what i got from my UAI and i cant get in any other way, but say i wanted to change my absences before i gave in the report ( most days i take off to study LOL i don't want them to think im just lazy because pretty much all my absences were study days) so if i changed the absences on the copy i gave them. what are the chances they'll ask for the original report.

Has this happened to anyone ? Like do they ask you to bring in the actual copy when you go in for an interview ? Or like, do they ever contact the school for a report ?

Well I was asked for a copy of my yr 11 + 12 report , but in year 11 i had heaps of absences. soo.....

Well not heaps, like 75% attendance in some classes is probably my worst.

haven't really thought about it.
i think they'd want to just have a flick through it but having a photocopy could be a tad suss because then you could've changed anything.

how many absences have you had? it can't be that bad and it's only prelim year.

I'm not sure i actually have to find the report first LOL but i think 70ish was around my worst attendance.

And some subjects i didnt really go very well because it was year 11 i didnt take it seriously. ( My maths yearly says 58%) LOL.

My marks this year are totally different. But im just worried because they do select applicants through this report first ( they asked for a photocopy because we have to mail it and then they ask for interviews ) But like when i got into my current school they said the same thing & then when they interviewed the prospect students they asked us to bring in the original.

is that just with csu? because i'm going to be applying at usyd soon and i don't know if they do the same thing.

also you already sent it so i'm sure that answers your own question. if they do ask you about pre-lims but just say how you weren't sure what you wanted to do and didn't take school seriously but then you just knew you had to work hard to get where you wanted to be etc etc

don't change it just bluff your way through.

I didnt send it. I meant they did that when i applied for my highschool, like asked for photocopy first, selected applicants they liked best then rechecked by asking the students selected to bring in the original copy on the interview.
Yeah dw, im pretty positive its only csu :)

Ummm, I'm really thinking on either Uni of Syd or Chrles Sturt but isn't it bit too far u reckon in orange? I don't know abt 2 yrs oral health,,,that would be awesome if we can finish it in 2 yrs time. Yeah, i know we can't ruin our chances...well with prelim report i guess we r on the same boat LOL...............Lemme kknow how it goes with you..

wait waitt. then so after oral health is there an oppt to do dental science ? because i want to b a dentist not a dental therapist and all that stuff but the sydney thing is kinda confusing me. some people say its just oral heath for a hygenist/therapist etc. and thats what uac says, but then other people say after 2yrs oral health u can do 4yrs dental science or something. do u kknow how it actually works ? I thought the csu one was in bathurst as well. which is a 3hr train ride from sydney ( but only 40 ppl get in so... ) but i wouldnt mind living in a dorm. in syd itd tke me 2hrs to get to uni and 2hrs back. id rather wake up n walk to class :D & living with friends next door should definetely be fun =P

Yes,ofcourse. You can even to undergrad 5 yr dental science at CSU which makes u qualified as a dentist but don't think I will get a ATAR above 95 so there goes my chance.....so oral health is the only option for me....I wudn't mind being or trying being a dental therapist/hygienist for a while. There's a lot of demand for this profession and good pay as well. You have a guareented job 2 after grduating.....from sydney uni.
regrding travel, i can't travel far its gotta be at sydney.

if you are from a rural area, then 95 is definitely sufficient. CSU favour rural students heavily.
