Jsut need a couple of questions answered
  • which is better?
  • which has better job prospects?
  • which gets payed more
Also, alot of people are saying that biomedical engineering restrictsyou as it is kind of a specialisation.IS THIS TRUE??? Also, if i were to do commerce and engineering would i be better off going to USYD or UNSW??

Thanks!!

biomedical is better in all counts and no, you doesn't restrict you. you'd be better of going to UNSW because its rated NUMBER 1 for engineering in the world.

Are u joking? UNSW is NO.1 in the world for engineering and commerce? So what about MIT...what about Princeton...even UNSW itself said the ranking for engineering is 16th in the world on its official website...
But if u compare the students' number,maybe....
only 6000+ students in Princeton university including graduate students...But for UNSW, the number is 29000+...:argue:

Mate you are obviously delusional if you compare substandard schools such as MIT and Princeton to the quality and greatness of UNSW Engineering.

dont really care if unsw is the best in the world or universe, usyd is still the best for me woooo~

but yea eng/comm is awesome best of both worlds commerce really is good for engineering, and having biomed engineering gives u a mechanical engineering degree as well (pretty sure, correct me if im wrong) because biomed is a branch of mechanical engineering.

yea i get wat u mean with the electives thingo, but i dont really mind that since if i wanna specialize into structural engineering in the end I could probably just get that through experience.

or you could overload or spend 1 more sem just to get that elective i.e. structural
