Maybe a dumb question - whats the difference between changing approaches to history and changing philosophies of history? (1 Viewer)

I have a general inkling about it but i don't trust myself, LOL.

Philosophies and approaches compliment each other in my mind

I'm only saying it the way I think about it so I could be wrong but here is my two cents; I think approaches has more to do with the construction of history and philospohies has more to do with the purpose. But it is only a slight lean both ways and they are definitely inextricably linked.
