So how many of you guys out there doing ext 1 math are planning on doing ext2. What are your marks/ranking in ext 1 so far?

I might wanna give it a shot, not the brightest kid in Maths, but Meh...

So far, my marks are 2U - 96%
3U - 65%

Both of them are worth 20%. Another 2U & 3U test coming in a week, both bear the weighing of 30%

I think I'm probably ranked about 10th in the year. In a test, 89% in 2 unit, 89% in 3 unit (dont understand it either!).

Yeah I'll probably try 4 unit: Marks and rankings for 2 unit and 3 unit are as follows:

3 unit: 98% - 1st

2 unit: 98% - 1st

Yeah, I got lucky ...

This will probably change when we get our next set of maths results later today.

Okay, well after that guy who got 98 at Extension 1 i'm just going to bring everybody back down to earth now! LOL

I got 88 in 2 unit (advanced) which I was pretty happy about.

3 unit, i'm struggling so hell no I'm going to do 4 unit! Will be happy with myself if I can complete 3 unit, will get the test back soon and don't particularly want it. I'm guessing 50's-60's?

If you're like me and you're not that gifted in maths, just keep practising, do your homework and don't be afraid to ask questions! PS: and don't be intimidated by people who do really well!

Coming first in 2U and 3U, not sure if I'll do Ext 2 Maths though. Too much stress I think!

WDF???? why did medicine come into the picture. For your information not everyone that does 4 unit maths or works towards getting a high UAI are planning to do MEDICINE.
Hear hear! I have no intention to do Medicine :)

Re: Maths!!! A dissertation, much?

just a warning for those who are considering ext2:

maths x2 is not that hard, but you just have to put in a LOT of effort and work into it. maths will basically take up at least half your workload.
as long as you do ok, the insance scaling will guarantee you with a very high uai

Good to hear, but i heard that Ext 1 to Ext 2 Maths is a bigger leap in terms of difficulty than 2-unit to Extension 1. Does that mean that basically i should be good in 3-unit to do 4-unit?

well that is given. you have to be good at two unit to be good at three unit, it should follow that you have to be good at three unit to be good at four.

Come to think of it, that was a pretty damn stupid question to say.

Then again, +1 postcount. I always say.

depends which one. The last movie was absolute crap, although i'm sure you'd dissagree seeing as your display picture is spiderman.

Oh, I was mainly referring to the first one, I guess there are reasonable amount of self changes in there.

Edit: Nah, haven't seen the third one yet, might watch it after exams.
