Is 72% a B or a C. Also, I want to ask you guys when does the ranking system start for year 11 and if people does badly in year 11 will that count in year 12?

In short: We dont really use a,b,c grading system in year 11/12. But a 72 is a C in your case. Ranking does not matter in year 11. Its only in year 12 that everything matters.

B - 80-90%
C - 70-80%
.. and so on.

Ranking system starts the moment you do you first weighted assessment.

Your year 11 marks don't go to anything in year 12. It's a fresh start.

Just to be more accurate ....but schools dont use ABC's anymore in year 11 do they?

Doesn't it depend on the difficulty of the test as well though? Like, if the standard deviation is high and the top mark is 30/40 I'm sure that 30 will come close to an A.
