Last year, you needed at least 100/120 to get Band 6. Could be more because 99/100-->89 aligned.

To be honest, I found it easy to get Band 6 in 2U but getting around 95+ gets tough - I got 94 (93 exam/94 assessment) and generally got 95% raw at school.

what if i get say 85% for my school assessment mark. then go out and pump the hsc exam and get a scaled mark of like 95%. do i then get 90?

i use 85 cos thats what ive gotten so far, but my exams have been difficult (from usual 2u standards) and i should be ranked second overall. do i need to vastly improve my exam results to still get a band 6?

(school rank is ~100.. if it matters)

^Doesn't matter what percentage you got in school, your rank firstly is most important and then secondly, the distance between you and the ranks.

You will get a moderated assessment mark based on your internal rank and then it is averaged to your HSC mark given in the external HSC mark.

OH and I presume at a school ranked 100, normally more than 2 people get a band 6 in maths so you're probably good for it/in running for it.

the reason why its is so low 90/120 beacuse the state average for 2u maths is around 40 percent
