How do i put 8x - x^2 + 15 in p - (x + q)^2 form?
Got that in my half yearlies and want to know the answer
Well i got 32 - (x - 4)^2 but looking at the form the bracket inside is + not - so please help me

Should be a 31. Expanding the brackets give back the original form...so I guess you're right.

Or do you mean why it isn't a + inside. If you're asking that then, q is actually -4. So (x+q)^2, [x+(-4)]^2 = (x-4)^2

Whoops my mistake and thanks guys for the help, now that i got that reassured i can now confidently say i can get 100% in my half yearlies for hsc :D
