Joanne and Sophie went shopping in New York and found a dress shop they loved. They both appreciated the Black Rhinestone Sleeve dress and the Black Bubble dress so much they had to have several of each, but they bought different numbers of each. Joanne bought two Black Bubble and four Black Rhinestone dresses and spent $948, while Sophie bought seven Black Bubble and three Black Rhinestone dresses and spent $1646. Joanne showed the dresses to her friend Scott and he really liked the Black Rhinestone Sleeve dress and wanted to buy one for his wife, so he asked Joanne how much the dress cost? Joanne and Sophie did not know how much the individual dresses cost as they just paid the total amount at the counter while they were having a chat about something. Can you figure out how much the dresses cost each?

2x + 4y = 948 (1)
7x + 3y = 1646 (2)

14x + 28y = 6636 (3)
14x + 6y = 3292 (4)

22y = 3344
y = 152

Sub into (1)
2x + 608 = 948
2x = 340
x = 170

Therefore the:
Black Bubble Dress cost $170
Black Rhinestone Dress cost $152
