P(bullseye)=0.8P(atleast one bullseye) = 1-P(no bullseye)therefore 1-(0.2)^n=0.999(0.2)^n=(1-0.999)n=ln(1-0.999)/ln(0.2) Don't have calculator within arms reach lol

i dont know if it was the matter of it appearing on one line.. but i didnt get what you did. but my friend showed me :)

if u get it 99.9 % of the time
that means u miss 0.1% of the time

(0.2)^n < 0.001
ln (0.2)^n < ln(0.001)
then nln(0.2) < ln 0.001
then n < 4.2

quite simple! my bad

Find the domain of f(x)=x(inverse sinx).
f(x) = x(inverse sinx) = x/sinx in order for function to be true, sinx =/= 0 .'. d = all x such that x =/= 0, 180, 360 etc correct me if i'm wrong please, i have a feeling i am

The answer is -1 is less than or equal to x is less than or equal to 1. :(

No, it isn't. Apparently the domain is supposed to be determined by the sinx. But don't worry about it, anom1ly!

We know that 2^10 =1024, so that 2^10 can be represented by a 4 digit numeral. How many digits are there in 2^1000 when written as a numeral

can anyone answers this ?

It's actually from the 2001 HSC for 2U mathematics. There was a first part aswell (lead in). You've just posted the 2nd part.

We know that 2^10 =1024, so that 2^10 can be represented by a 4 digit numeral. How many digits are there in 2^1000 when written as a numeral

can anyone answers this ?

another way to think about it:

210=10log1021000=101000log102~10301 which has 302 digits
