HEY GUYS!

Guys see the below solutions, feel free to correct it, with full worked out solutions.

Practice Question: PROBABILITY:

I will start...

Q1. In how many ways can three groups of three numerals be chosen without replacement from the nine numerals 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ?

9!/3!x3!x3!=?

Q2. In how many ways can a group of three letters be chosen without replacement from the nine letters of the world AUSTRALIA?

9C3= 84

PRACTICE QUESTIONS: COMPLEX Numbers:

Q1. In an Argand diagram the vectors OP and OQ represent the complex numbers z and w repectively such that Triangle OPQ is equilateral.
What is an expression for z^2 +w^2.

:awesome:

I planned to keep on posting questions to help other students for their upcoming half yearly exams, so please make sure you post your answers.

my solution to the first one:
ep=-g x m1m2/r
from 10000 to 20000 it took 1.0MJ ( 1x10^6 J)
1x10^6=- G X M1M2/20000 X 10^3 - (-G x m1m2/10000 x 10^3)
20000x 10^3 x1x10^6=-Gm1m2 + 2Gm1m2
Gm1m2=2 x 10^13

to move from 20000--> 80 000km
-G x m1m2/80000 x 10^3 + G x m1m2/r
= - 2x 10^13/80000 x 10^3 + 2x10^13/20000x 10^3
Change in potential energy= -250000 + 1000 000 = 750000
divide by 10^6
work done= 0.75 MJ
