Australians take to twitter with the #illridewithyou in a campaign to ride with those who may be affected by bigotry by members of the public, and will ride with them on public transport to support them, figuratively and literally.
Twitter has been inundated with pictures, and people posting that they are at a certain bus stop or station and will travel with them to give them support if they may receive any racial abuse as a result.
Those who take transport should still be wary of any of these posts however.
