Yeah they could ask us to do the steps of a marketing plan, for given criteria:

Steps:
1. Situational Analysis (Through using a SWOT [Str, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threat], viewing position in Product Life Cycle, and Competitor Analysis).
2. Establishing Market Objectives (Increase Market Share, etc)
3. Identify Target Market (Segmentation, Niche, mass market approach, etc)
4. Establishing Marketing strategies (Product, Price, Place, Promotional Strategies)
5. Implementing, monitoring and controlling (Through Devloping a financial forecast, comparing actual and planned results, revising the marketing strategy)

Well this is going to be included in a stimulus response question, if you have to develop a marketing plan for a specific product given in the scenario. For the extended, you will only have to describe/evaluate/whatever the marketing plan of a business in relation to your case study businesses.

Just did 2006 papers:

1. Describe the elements of a marketing plan used by a business, and evaluate the effectiveness of financial planning in achieving the objectives of a marketing plan.

Not directly having to construct, but you can see the syllabus point being tested.

by"effectiveness of financial planning' ..is that mean the strategies used by a business to manage their working capital and inventory something like that or the effectiveness of how elements of marketing plan affect the financial objective of liquidity, solvency, profitability, growth and efficency?
