Hi guys.

Can you help me find 3 language techniques in
Act 2, Scene 2 of Macbeth?

No Fear Shakespeare: Macbeth: Act 2, Scene 2

Any help is very much appreciated, thanks :)
as far as i could understand lol:haha:

1- sinister tone (creates curiosity for the reader)
2- excessive use of question marks (uncertain atmosphere)
3- and exssesive use of exclamation marks (probably emphasising disbeleif or something)

u should try and get some more effective techniques

I studied this in year 11 but I don't remember it well.
I vaguely remember there being some sort of symbolism with the washing of their hands (something to do with MacBeth going crazy and the water representing the washing away of his bad deeds, I'm not sure, you might have to analyse it a bit further) and symbolism of colour (particularly red and white I think).
Sorry I can't be of much more help though.

Oh hey, thanks mira.mourad and Cinnamonster your advice triggered some ideas for me.

So far, I've got:
- GENRE
- REPETITION
- SYMBOLISM
- COLOUR
- MOTIF
- METAPHOR
- SIMILE

Thanks to the both of you. You helped lots :)
And to think you generous Year 12 students could put aside some time for me.

Thanks again, good luck with your trials.
