Ex-Marine Kills 300-Pound Bear With Log

Ex-Marine Kills 300-Pound Bear With Log - ABC News

The ex-Marine saved the lives of his three young sons when a 300-pound (136 kg) bear attacked their Georgia campsite last weekend.

Realizing his sons could be killed, Everhart grabbed a log and threw it at the bear's head, striking and killing him.
Typical shit I had to encounter back in my days of FOXHOUND.
A thrown log is the next best thing before resorting to CQC.
It reminds me of this comic I saw when a girl introduces her metrosexual boyfriend to her father who was a retired army colonel.
The father was less than impressed by the boy's meterosexuality (hair more oily than his decks out the back) and proceeded to place him in a chokehold and the meterosexual guy was unable to release himself from the chokehold.

By 'bear' she doesn't mean the slang term used to describe old fat hairy gay men.
